Chorus:
Well, I don't want to spend Sunday morning,
looking at the back of someone's head.
No, I don't want to spend Sunday morning,
regretting that I got out of bed!
I Just Want that ol' time religion,
The kind that Paul & Silas sang about.
I want to stand and shout HALLELUIA,
Praise the Lord, & cast the devil out!

1. So, let's spend Sunday prayin' with each other,
staying on our knees until they hurt,
shedding real tears of compassion
for those who have no food, no roof, no shirt.
We'll call on the Spirit to lead us,
We'll break bread and go from house to house,
We'll stand and shout HALLELUIA,
Praise the Lord, & cast the devil out!

(Chorus)

2. Yes, let's spend Sunday teaching one another,
and learning how to listen to our hurts.
Sharing what God has provided,
putting each other first.
We'll call on the Spirit to lead us,
We'll break bread and go from house to house,
We'll stand and shout HALLELUIA,
Praise the Lord, & cast the devil out!

(Chorus)

3. Yes, lets stop playing Church on Sunday morning,
and commit ourselves to do the Father's will.
Let's get involved with each other,
and follow Jesus up Golgatha's Hill.
Let's stand and shout HALLELUIA,
Praise the Lord, & cast the devil out!
Yes, let's spend Sunday morning together,
breaking bread and going house to house.
Yes, let's spend Sunday morning together,
Breaking bread and going house to house!
